As an analogy, many people pronounce "nuclear" as "nucular". But if you were quoting someone like this, you would not use the latter spelling.

I maintain "supposably" sounds wrong because it's a phonetic derivative of "supposedly" in the same way "nucular" derives from "nuclear": a complex or uncommon consonant cluster being collapsed into a more familiar, easily pronounced one.
