How to reasonably tame or train a Griffon? : r/DnD - Reddit
When the griffon is half-grown a period of intensive training must begin, which will last at least four months. The daily routine must never be broken for more than two days, or the griffon's wild nature will assert itself and all progress will be lost. After two months of this intensive training, it will be possible to begin to fly the griffon.
Raising a Griffon : r/DnD - Reddit
Sep 16, 2020 · I gave one of my players a remarkably low chance to receive a griffon egg when coming across a nest. On a d100 he rolled a 98 and that was higher than the 97 required. Now he has a griffon egg and I was wondering if anyone has advice to give on how I should handle this as the dm. I’m actually quite excited to see how he does with it.

Mar 21, 2015 · I would give his Griffon the ability to both fly and carry him at level 10. Spellcasters get the fly spell at level 5, and Druids can wild shape into flying creatures at level 8, but both of those are limited forms of flight, while having a flying companion is an unlimited form of flight and thus universally better.
