Sep 7, 2019 · While I'm really not familiar with the F bikes - "Stick" coils have been a BMW issue for years, cars and bikes. A secondary reading like that (6 megohms), if properly measured, indicates that the coil is indeed bad.
F800GT Unusable in Hot Weather - BMW MOA
Apr 3, 2014 · WARNING- the F800GT is a serious crotch roaster in 80 degree weather- to the point a stock one is probably unusable in 90 or 100 degree weather. The source of the heat is the 2 eyebrow vents in the plastic near the riders knees. Rad heat exits there and is blown directly into the riders crotch for both of us.
New F800GT Owner - Need Battery Charging Info | BMW MOA
Jan 4, 2018 · 2015 f800gt I’ve had my f800 hooked up to a Battery Tender Junior since I bought it. I use the pigtail that came with the bike. I made no modifications to the pigtail. Bike starts first time every time even after just going through a move to near Knoxville TN and not touching the bike for over two months.

But the sections for other 800s will work to do most things because there is little to no difference between motor parts/controls. Its not a 2 up bike for any distance - solo only unless you're a masochist.
