So the other posters are trying to explain alignment to you by explaining the symptoms of someone being an alignment, rather than actually explaining where alignment comes from.

I'd put Halsin in Neutral Good, Astarion in Chaotic Neutral, and Wyll in Lawful Good. Druids are historically (in DnD) considered true neutral, but both Jaheira and Halsin definitely skew to Good.
