Oct 27, 2017 · While it is technically possible to change an application's icon in Windows by carefully modifying the .exe file (not for the faint of heart!), the only practical thing you can do is change the shortcut. Click the "Browse..." button. At least your pinned application looks awesome! (Or any application icon, for that matter.)

In addition, in our previous extension of the wee k post, we have highlighted Git History Extension for Visual Studio Code. And, this time lets explore another nice extension vs code-icons from Roberto Huertas.

Replace the Visual Studio Code app icon, and associated file icons, with your own from the user settings folder. Changes persist across updates and restarts, but are reverted on uninstall. This extension is also available from the Open VSX registry.

vscode-icons for GitHub by @dderevjanik will allow you to see all GitHub 's files with vscode-icons icons. vscode-icons-js by @dderevjanik get file/folder specific icon from vscode-icons icons. Enjoy!
