Norma's quality control is great, the bullet profile drops into the cylinder easily, and if you're keeping your brass Norma is fantastic stuff. Recoil is a pleasant subsonic "thump" and that's about it.

Nov 19, 2020 · Like shooting Magnum ammo in a S&W "K" frame, the hotter ammo will wear the gun faster, so most people shoot .38 Special or +P ammo and shoot the full Magnum loads occasionally. The 2020 Python is stronger then the old Python, with a beefed up frame and a stronger action. Colt designed it to be shot and it will take a LOT of shooting.`

Jun 21, 2016 · Several of my non-colt revolvers are a little fussy about the ammo I feed them for instance, my S&W 22 mag has accuracy issues with CCI ammo, but is a tack driver with Federal or Armscor. I have been shooting LAX 357s through my 6" Python with less than stellar performance. I will try some Blazer Brass next and see if performance improves.

Feb 11, 2011 · So in summation. Yes you can shoot 125 grain 357's through your Python, in moderation. A coupld cylinder's of 125 grain rounds to test the ammo you plan on carrying is fine. However don't shoot 125 grain rounds through it every weekly trip to the range. What Colt75 said about the Python being a more robust gun is true.
