Oct 31, 2002 · I have a 1983 CJ7, dana 30 front, AMC 20 rear, 6cyl, T176, and dana 300. Does anyone have a chart, web site, or other information that would educate me on the interchangability of the front and rear axles, and driveline for the CJ7 and other vehicles? I am not a 'rock crawler' but do get off the beaten path in West Virginia mountains.

Nov 7, 2024 · Hey everyone, I recently got 83 CJ7. I did the normal tune up of plugs and wires, distributor cap, oil change coolant the usual. However, none of my gauges work. The speedometer does the typical bounce, my oil pressure gauge sits at 20, my gas gauge doesn't work, and the temperature gauge doesn't work.

Oct 3, 2016 · According to my TSM for 1982, and I suspect the '83 is the same: On the 4-cyl engines the starter motor relay (external solenoid) has no internal electrical connection to the bracket. The grounding is done via wire to the backup lamp circuit (man trans) or neutral safety switch (auto trans).
