Icons in Perspective are specially curated SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) images chosen to be helpful in Perspective design. Perspective includes a starting collection of icons, and provides ways of including your own (see "Use a Custom Icon Repository" below).

Icons are lightweight, simple, visual indicators or displays. They're similar to an image but generally smaller in file size. Because of how lightweight they are, they're ideal to use with other components such as the map component.

Additional symbols (Badge icons) can show up to the right of these items. See the Perspective Designer Interface page for an explanation.

Nov 3, 2020 · Not to be confused with Symbol Factory, these new components are more than just flat graphics, as each has numerous properties that modify and dictate their behavior. For the unaware, these new components signify a new line of Perspective objects that represent real-world equipment.
