I don't need to do real motorcycle things, I just want to relive some of my childhood minibike adventures on the local dirt roads, and maybe load it in the back of my truck and explore other dirt neighborhoods. Has anybody here owned one of these? Honda seems to have made a couple of notable upgrades since 2021.

Aug 30, 2014 · That trail 90 looks like it will clean up nice! My neighbor has an all original '69 trail 90 with only 1300 miles. The bike seems to need the battery to start as the Magneto doesn't provide enough power during kick-over. I'm not sure if the magneto is weak or this is how Honda designed them. Something to consider when you try starting the bike.

Has 2 speed gear box, still on the original tires from japan with only 194 original Miles. Runs and rides and gets lots of looks and smiles.

Nov 28, 2013 · The shift pattern is taking a little time for me to get used to. Neutral is at the bottom and then it's three-up (toe up or heel down with this shifter). Surprisingly, this is the exact opposite of my old '71 Honda CT70 Mini-Trail and my long gone Rockford Chibi.
