Connect the PS4 controller to the PS5 using a micro-USB cable. Press the PS button. Wait for the PS4 controller’s LED to start flashing. The PS4 controller will be linked to the PS5 automatically.

All you then have to do is press the PS button, expand the notification, and select “Download PS4 Saved Data.” In doing so, there’s no need to manually transfer data via USB or other methods.
