Microsoft is revamping SharePoint document libraries with a OneDrive-like design, rolling out worldwide in November 2025.

Unfortunately, SharePoint Online does not contain a mechanism for mail-enabling a document library. That being the case, we are going to have to put yet another Office 365 component to work.

Incidentally, you can force SharePoint to show or hide individual columns on an as-needed basis. [Click on image for larger view.] Figure 5: I have added a custom column to the document library.
