Under the plan passed Thursday, time-of-use demand rates will shift later in the evening (6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and “super peak” pricing expands during the day.
SRP reported peak demand at that time of 8,219 megawatts, with APS’ demand just a tad lower at 8,212 megawatts. One megawatt is enough to power about 225 average-sized homes, SRP said.
