Reddit’s new paid API, announced last month, has been a death knell to many third-party apps due to the intense costs associated with the API, as well as the changes the API imposed.

The company's new API guidelines, which go into effect on July 1st, will kill all popular third-party Reddit clients. That is unless they are ready to pay millions of dollars in fees every month.
