I don't know of anyway to restore from the MDF/LDF files other than attaching them to the server, but this leaves the database online and doesn't allow restoring any other backups on top of it.

Move the LDF and MDF files to where you want them (with your other SQL Server databases perhaps) or leave them where they are. Open the SQL Server Enterprise Manager. Navigate down to your SQL server.
