This layout was pretty much set in stone prior to the newest Android Auto beta (v9.0). You could choose what apps appeared, but users weren’t able to change where that navigation widget was.

To access the font menus, open the Display menu in your Settings. Scroll down to Font Size and Style and tap on it. You will see a preview of the current font, as well as a button for Font Style.
