Unlock Worksheets in Excel Launch Excel and open the protected worksheet. Select the "Review" tab, and then click "Unprotect Sheet." Enter the password, if prompted.

Launch Excel 2007 and open the file containing the spreadsheet to unprotect. Click the "Review" tab and select "Unprotect Sheet" from the drop-down menu to show the "Protect Sheet" dialog box.

14. To make all cells editable again, click on "Unprotect Sheet" — which is in the "Protect" tab under "Review" — and re-enter your password. The cells will now be unlocked.
