If you want to add labels to the bubbles in an Excel bubble chart, you have to do it after you create the chart. Mary Ann Richardson explains what you need to do to add a data label to each bubble.
Highlight the data you want to present in the pie chart, including the labels, by dragging the mouse across the cells. Each chart can compare data only from the columns or the rows, but not from both.
To change all data labels, click anywhere in the chart. To modify all labels on either the x or y-axis, click anywhere within the data series. To modify a single data label, click on the data label.
Add Data Labels: Click on the chart, then select ‘Add Chart Element’ from the ‘Design’ tab. Choose ‘Data Labels’ and position them inside the base or end based on your preference.
