The upgrades start with the image sensor. This time around, instead of using a generic Raspberry Pi camera, he’s gone with the fancier ArduCam OwlSight sensor.
Already, ArduCAM is up and running on the Raspberry Pi Pico! Based on the OV2640 image sensor, the ArduCAM is useful for microcontroller applications thanks to its onboard JPEG encoder.
This is how Arducam Mega works. It fits any Microcontroller with a standard SPI interface (either native or mimic one), 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit, ARM, RISC-V, or others. Only six pins are required.
